Many coffee drinkers, roasters, and buyers list Ethiopian coffee as the best coffee variety in the world. This is not surprising since Ethiopia is often considered the birthplace of coffee.
We have experimented off and on with the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe variety since we began roasting due to its complexity and distinct taste. Some describe it as a halfway between tea and coffee. Very rarely do we meet someone who doesn't just love the distinctiveness of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe (alas, there are exceptions to every rule).
Tasting Notes: Sweet and tart; lots of fruity and floral flavors with a hint of dark chocolate.
Mouthfeel: Balanced, Medium Body
