Thomas Cranmer (1489-1556) was an English Reformer and Archbishop of Canterbury during the 16th century who is most famous for writing and compiling the first two editions of the Book of Common Prayer, the liturgy for the English Church. Cranmer is particularly famous in the Anglican tradition for this very reason but the Book of Common Prayer has a heritage far outside of the tradition! A GREAT mug for any Book of Common Prayer reader!
